IPTV EPG Not Working? Common Causes and Fixes
Your IPTV channels can work perfectly while the electronic programme guide (EPG) remains empty or displays incorrect information.
If your EPG isn't working, check the following:
1. Refresh the EPG
Many IPTV applications have a refresh or update option.
2. Check the EPG source
If your setup requires an XMLTV source, make sure the address is correct and accessible.
3. Check channel IDs
The channel identifier in the playlist needs to correspond with the identifier used by the EPG data.
4. Check the timezone
Incorrect timezone settings can make programme information appear at the wrong time.
5. Clear old EPG data
Some applications allow you to clear existing guide data before downloading it again.
6. Give it time
Large EPG databases can take a little while to download and process.
